The most common cause for clogged drains is food particles that build up in the pipes over time. To prevent this, regularly clean the inside of your sink and tub drains by running hot water through them.

If you notice any signs of a leak, turn off the water supply at your main shutoff valve. This will stop the flow of water into the pipe and allow you to see where the leak is coming from.

Next, remove the rubber gasket from the bottom of the sink. Then, use a plunger to push down on the drain plug. Once the plug has been removed, pull up on the stopper to release any remaining water.

If you notice any signs of leakage or damage, stop using the appliance immediately and call a professional plumber to repair the issue.

If the clogged area still isn’t clearing up after running cold water through the pipes, then you should call a plumber. They can use special tools to unblock the drain and remove any blockages.
