FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
There are two main reasons why you shouldn’t freeze certain foods. First, freezing damages the cell walls of fruits and vegetables, making them less nutritious than fresh produce. Second, freezing changes the texture of some foods, such as meat, so they’re not as appealing to eat.
If you do decide to freeze fruit, make sure to use only frozen fruit. This will keep the nutrients intact.
While freezing vegetables does help them last longer, it also makes them more likely to contain bacteria. In fact, frozen vegetables are more likely to contain harmful bacteria than fresh ones.
If you’re planning to freeze meat, make sure to check the label before buying. Many meats sold at grocery stores are treated with antibiotics to prevent bacterial growth. These drugs aren’t good for humans, so they’re often added to animal feed as well. This means that when you eat these meats, you’ll be consuming those same antibiotics.
While frozen milk has less fat than fresh milk, it still contains more saturated fats than unsaturated ones. So while frozen milk might taste better, it’s not necessarily healthier.

Fridge Overheating Troubleshooting Tips
Fridge temperature control is important for keeping food fresh, but it can also cause serious damage to your appliances. Here are some tips on how to keep your refrigerator running smoothly.
Check the Thermostat Settings.
If your fridge has an automatic thermostat, make sure it’s set correctly. You should aim for a temperature between 32°F and 40°F (0°C and 4°C). If you notice any changes in the temperature, check the settings again.
Clean Out the Refrigerator's Condenser Coil.
A dirty condenser coil will cause your refrigerator to run longer than necessary, wasting energy and money. To clean out the coils, remove the back panel of the freezer compartment and remove the two screws holding the panel in place. Then, pull off the panel and wipe down the inside with a damp cloth.
Check the Filter.
It’s not uncommon for fridges to overheat when the thermostat isn’t set properly. This can cause damage to the compressor and other parts of the fridge. To fix this problem, replace the thermostat with one that has been tested by an electrician.
Replace the Thermostat.
If you see any debris stuck in the filter, use a vacuum cleaner to clear it out. You can also try running the unit without food for a few days to let the system work at its peak efficiency.
Change the Filters.
If the filters aren’t changed regularly, they will clog up and stop working correctly. You should clean them every two weeks.
