• The freezer is freezing, but the fridge section is warm If your ice cream is solid but your milk is spoiling, you are likely dealing with a hidden airflow failure. This happens when a failed defrost heater allows frost to build up and block the internal vents, or when the evaporator fan stops circulating the cold air. We check the electronic defrost cycle to restore the balance.

• A persistent clicking sound coming from the back When your fridge clicks every few minutes and stays completely warm, that sound is a cry for help from your compressor. It means the start relay is trying to kickstart the motor but failing. If we catch this early, we can replace just the relay, saving you from a costly compressor replacement.

• Water pooling at the bottom or leaking inside Finding a puddle inside your crisper drawers? This is rarely a mechanical failure. In coastal areas, high humidity can cause rapid condensation that mixes with debris, completely blocking your defrost drain line. We flush the line and clear the blockage to get the water flowing outside again.

• The appliance suddenly trips your electricity mains If turning on your fridge instantly plunges your kitchen into darkness, there is an electrical short circuit. This is often caused by salt-air corrosion degrading the wiring insulation or an earth-leakage fault inside the heating element or compressor.

Washing Machine Repairs

Washing machines handle constant water flow and heavy mechanical movement, making them prime targets for mechanical wear and tear.

• The washing machine refuses to spin or drain at the end of a cycle: If your clothes are left soaking wet, the machine is stuck because it cannot get rid of the water. This is usually caused by a coin or hair clip blocking the drain pump filter, or the mechanical drain pump itself burning out. We drain the unit safely, clear the obstruction, or swap out the pump.

• The motor runs, but the washing machine drum won’t turn: If you hear the machine humming and going through the motions but the clothes aren’t moving, the physical connection has failed. It’s typically a snapped drive belt or worn-out carbon brushes inside the motor that need replacement to restore spinning functionality.

• The machine shakes violently and makes a loud banging noise: Excessive shaking during the spin cycle means the internal suspension rods have worn out or snapped, or the rear drum bearings have failed. Operating the machine in this state can cause permanent structural damage.

Dishwasher Repairs

A malfunctioning dishwasher quickly disrupts kitchen hygiene. We target the root causes of water management and heating issues:

• Water is actively leaking from the bottom of the dishwasher: A dishwasher puddle usually points straight to a door seal problem. Over time, sea-spray air and harsh detergents degrade the rubber perimeter gasket, or a cracked plastic spray arm begins directing water directly at the door seams.

• The dishwasher leaves dishes dirty or covered in grit: If your plates come out cloudy, the wash arms are likely clogged with lime-scale or food debris, preventing proper water pressure. It can also point to a failing circulation pump that can no longer circulate water effectively.

• The cycle completes, but the water stays completely cold: If your dishes are wet and greasy at the end of a cycle, the heating element has burnt out or the control board is failing to trigger the heating cycle. We install corrosion-resistant elements designed to handle local water conditions.

• Water remains pooled at the bottom after the cycle ends: Just like washing machines, dishwashers rely on a dedicated drain pump and check valve to prevent dirty water from back-flowing. We clear the internal impellers or replace the failed pump mechanism. 

Oven & Stove Repairs

Because cooking appliances rely on high-amperage heating components, they experience extreme temperature swings that naturally fatigue metal over time.

• The oven fan turns on and blows air, but there is no heat: If the light is on and the fan is spinning but your food stays cold, your circular oven element has burnt out. Think of it like a lightbulb that has finally reached the end of its lifespan; we simply replace the element with a genuine spare part.

• Food is burning on top but staying raw on the bottom: When an oven bakes unevenly, one of its dual heating sources has failed. We test both the top broil element and the bottom bake element, as well as the regulating thermostat, to ensure your heat distribution is perfectly uniform.

• The gas stove plates keep clicking continuously: If your gas burners are lit but the ignition switch keeps clicking, moisture or salt-air residue has breached the ignition switches behind the knobs. We dry out the ignition rail or replace the faulty switch assembly.

• Turning on an oven plate instantly trips the kitchen electricity: This indicates a breakdown in the internal insulation of a solid plate or spiral element. The electrical current leaks directly to the appliance’s metal chassis, triggering your home’s earth leakage safety switch.  

Tumble Dryer Repairs

Coastal humidity makes a working tumble dryer an absolute necessity. We keep your laundry routine moving when your dryer fails:

• The tumble dryer takes multiple cycles to dry a single load: If your clothes are coming out damp and warm after an hour of running, your dryer’s heating coil is likely failing, or a tripped safety thermal fuse (a safety device that cuts power if the unit overheats) is cutting off power prematurely.

• The machine turns on and heats up, but the drum won’t spin: If you hear the dryer heating up but the drum remains stationary, the drive belt has typically snapped, or the start capacitor (the electrical component that gives the motor the torque to spin) has failed.

• The dryer makes a loud, rhythmic squeaking or grinding noise: This loud noise indicates that the drum support rollers, front glides, or rear brass bearings have worn thin due to friction. We lubricate and replace these structural wear-and-tear parts to make your dryer whisper-quiet again.
