Samsung Fridge Repair Tips

Do you need to replace a refrigerator or freezer that won’t turn on? We’ve got some helpful tips for fixing these appliances. Samsung fridge repairs Durban

Check the Refrigerator’s Compressor

If you’re having trouble with your fridge or freezer, check the compressor first. It should be located at the back of the unit near the door. You’ll see a small black box with a red light inside. If the light isn’t lit, there might be a problem with the compressor.

Look at the Thermostat

Next, check the temperature settings on the thermostat. Make sure the temperature is set correctly. If not, adjust them accordingly.

Replace the Filter

Check the filter inside the fridge. It should be clean and free of food particles. If it’s clogged with debris, replace it.

Clean the Condenser Coil.

To remove any dirt or dust residue use a soft cloth and warm water. You can also use a vacuum cleaner attachment.

Check the Drain Line

If there’s no drain line, check the back panel of the fridge. It should have a small hole with a rubber gasket. Remove the gasket and clean out the area where the drain pipe goes through the wall.

How to Repair Samsung Refrigerator Overheating Problems

You may be wondering why your Samsung refrigerator keeps getting hotter and hotter. It could be because of many reasons. So, let’s take a look at some of them.

If your Samsung fridge has been overheating, check the thermostat settings. Make sure that the temperature setting is set to “Cool” instead of “Off”. Also, make sure that the fan speed is not too high. This will cause more heat to build up inside the fridge.

Another reason why your Samsung fridge might keep heating up is due to dirty filters. To clean the filter, turn off the power switch and remove the cover. Then, use a brush to gently scrub away any dirt. After that, replace the cover and turn the power back on.

If you notice that your Samsung refrigerator has been heating up too much, then resetting the defrost cycle might be what you need to do. To do so, just follow these steps.
1) Open the door of your Samsung refrigerator.
2) Turn off the power switch by pressing the button located near the front of the refrigerator.
3) Remove the cover plate located on top of the refrigerator.
4) Find the defrost timer.
5) Press the button located next to the timer.
6) Wait until the timer resets itself.
7) Close the cover plate and turn on the power switch.
8) Repeat the process as needed.
