Washing Machine Troubleshooting Tips

Washing machine troubleshooting Durban

Washing machines are complicated devices that require regular maintenance to keep running smoothly. This article will cover how to troubleshoot common problems and provide helpful advice for keeping your washer in good shape.

Check the Drain Pump

If your drain pump isn’t working properly, water will build up inside the machine and cause damage. To check whether your drain pump is working correctly, turn off the power switch at the wall outlet and remove the lid from the top of the machine. Look for any leaks or signs of water damage. If there is no sign of leakage, then the drain pump should be fine.

Is There Water Leakage?

If you find any signs of water damage, such as wet carpet or walls, call an expert immediately. You can also try using a flashlight to see if there is any water leaking from the bottom of the machine. If you notice any water dripping from the machine, shut down the power switch and contact a professional like us right away.

Is The Washer Running Properly?

It’s not uncommon for a washing machine to stop working properly after several years of use. This happens because parts wear out over time. To prevent this problem, make sure to regularly check the level of detergent and add more if needed. Also, keep the lid closed while running the machine so that it won’t leak.

Does The Motor Work?

If the motor isn’t turning, there are two possible reasons why. First, the motor might need replacing. Second, the belt might be worn out. Check the belts by lifting up the top panel of the machine and looking at them. If they appear loose, replace them.

Do You Have A Stuck Spin Cycle Button?

If the spin cycle button won’t turn off, check the following tips.
1) Make sure the door is closed.
2) Turn off the power switch.
3) Remove the lid.
4) Press and hold down the spin cycle button until the light turns green.
5) Release the button.
6) Close the lid.
7) Replace the lid.
8) Turn on the power switch.
9) Wait 30 seconds.
10) Try again.
