How to Repair a Refrigerator

If you need help with a problem, start by checking out the manual. You should find instructions inside the door panel. If there isn’t one, check online. There are lots of websites dedicated to helping you learn how to do things like this.  

Check the Thermostat.

Next, check the thermostat. This will tell you whether the compressor is running properly. If it’s not, then you’ll need to replace it.  

Look at the Water Line.

Check the water line first. You should see a small hole where the pipe connects to the faucet. Remove the cap and look inside. If there is any debris, remove it with a vacuum cleaner. Then, clean out the area using soap and warm water.  

Check the Drain Line.

Next, check the drain line. This is located at the bottom of the fridge. Look for a small hole near the back of the freezer compartment. Clean out the area using soap, warm water, and a brush.  

Check the Compressor.

f the compressor isn’t running properly, then there will be no cooling inside the refrigerator. To test the compressor, turn off the power switch and open the door. If the compressor turns on, then the problem is with the compressor itself. If the compressor does not start up, then the fan motor needs to be replaced.   TAP HERE to contact us.
