Smeg Fridge Troubleshooting Tips

The Smeg refrigerator has been around for decades, and it’s still going strong. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for an affordable appliance that will last a long time. But sometimes things just don’t work right. Here are some tips to help you solve common problems.

If your refrigerator isn’t cooling properly, check its thermostat settings. You should set the temperature at 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius) when the door is closed and 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius) when the doors are open.

Check the filter in your refrigerator’s condenser unit. It should be clean and free of debris. If there is any buildup, remove it by running warm water through the filter.

A door gasket is located inside the refrigerator door. This is where food particles collect and cause odor. To replace the gasket, first turn off the power switch at the breaker box. Then, open the refrigerator door as far as possible without removing the hinge pin. Remove the old gasket by pulling it out of the hole. Be sure to keep track of the location of the new gasket so you can put it back when you finish.

If you hear a loud humming noise coming from the compressor, check the following items before calling an appliance repair service: Is there any water leaking into the unit? Does the temperature gauge move up and down? Do you smell gas? Are there any electrical shorts?
